450w 980Ti FE doable?

I’m building a SFF ‘ultimate windows XP’ machine with some bits I’ve already got.

It will be a 4790k/4gb ram/2tb SSD and a 980Ti FE. Do you think it’s possible to run that off a 450w psu? (Be Quiet 450w sfx).

From what I can tell the FE doesn’t go above 250w at its absolute max so I am thinking it should be possible all in, as nothing will be overclocked. Although potentially on the limit…

The total power use shouldn't be a problem, it just depends how the PSU handles the spikes.

Good point, perhaps I will need to look in to that a bit more. I seem to remember the FE was pretty good when it comes to power, the AIB cards went nuts with clock speeds etc.
