460 SLI performance

Hi all,

Just a quick question. I will be buying a new card soonish but is it worth firing in another 460? I've never had a dual gpu setup so would like to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons.

Mainly be playing BF3 with the rig in sig

Definitely worth it if you can source the second card at a good price, ive found decent gains with sli in games like bc2 and bf3. The main cons are increased heat and power consumption.

Good to hear that, so you have not had any micro-stutter? Also do you think a 600w psu would be enough?

Ive never experienced microstutter with my current 470's, or my previous 275's, 600w should be fine going by this.

And thats using a more power hungry overclocked i7 920 based rig.

I've never had any microstutter across:

Crossfire 3850s, 4850s, 4870s, 5770s.

And SLI 460s, 560 tis.

Awesome, thanks for that guys. Will look out for a cheap 460 1gb then and see if I can put the new card off for a while longer
