Picked up Athlon 4600 for el'cheapo price off friend who has yet again upgraded (he went intel) Well impressed with the results + gain its made in my brothers PC (he had 3700+). So now im in the market for either 4600 or 4800 myself (using 4000+ San D at moment), decided new CPU will be used within a gaming unit, air-cooled and overclocking will be taking place. :) Cant go intel as cost mounts up with forced upgrades such as mobo, ram etc.

Im aware 4800 will ave o/c around 2.7/2.8 (my 4000+ does 2.85 stable), no idea what to expect from 4600 and havent had chance to play with o/clocking my bro's 4600. So 4600 or 4800? (ignoring the cost diff between the two ;) ) All advice & comments welcome.

Well here's how it went down in the end, picked up 4600 2nd hand for me eldest bro as he begged me to lend him the cash  Won a bit of cash week before last (long storey, and no it was not sexual favors) so treated myself to 4800 and sold 3700 along with 4000 on well known auction site for silly money so nearly made back allmost all my out goings.
