460w enough for this build?

I think that system would be ok with a 460W PSU provided it can supply that, it probably can if it's a seasonic. I'd recommend a decent 550W PSU just to be sure though.

i use 350watts playing games to power a 3770k at 4.6 with 8gbs of 2000mhz ram and a 680gtx.

max stress i use 450watts.

I would say your safe.

any reason why you need a 100quid psu? the higher the wattage the less heat it will make.
the less heat means the psu wont need to use the fan on the bottom to cool. well thats the case for the corsair psus anyway.

Don't especially need to spend that much but I need something that will fit the Bitfenix prodigy (Max 160mm long) and ideally be modular. I was also looking at the Corsair TX's and the Coolermaster Silent Pro. The latter being modular the former not.

Any recommendations guys?

I would go with the one you said in the first place Butonz, its fanless so super quiet and will fulfill its role nicely. It has enough juice to x-fire 7850's so..

Cheers Stulid I'll have a look at those, the PC Power & Cooling one is putting me off with the white though as it's the Black Prodigy I'm going for. Are the Corsair TX units the same just without the modular cables? If so I don't mind dropping the modular design.

The TX650v2 (CP-9020038) - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 - is made by CWT.

These Antecs are Seasonics and nice (modular too)

I do like the look of those Antec's, a little worried the connectors might be a tight fit as it only leaves 2cm for the plugs.

http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers <--- Is that right all the Corsair TX v2's are Seasonic?

Antec Gamer M 620W it is then! Thanks Stulid! Got to just pick me up some Carbon Fibre wrap now to hide the horrible Antec logo on the side (It'll also be upside down when I mount it!)

Thanks again.
