4670 + 4850

what res do you play at?

I mistook your 4670 for 4870, I have no idea what that is like in CF with a 4850. But if the 4870 slows down to match the 4850 then I guess a 4850 will do the same to match a 4670.

Just keep what you have for now, and when you really need the extra oomph, the 485[o will be much cheaper.

i play at 1920x1080. i have no problems running games at that res so far.. but i was just thinking maybe getting another 4850 or 4670 it would last longer.

Bare in mind that crossfire with card of noticeable different performance will amplify the effects of things like "microstutter" which isn't normally a problem with matched cards but will become much more noticeable with unmatched cards...

I would say get another 4850 if youre looking for a 2nd card for crossfire.
The results from 2 of these cards running together are quite astounding,
easily besting the GTX 280.

ok so looks like ill get another 4850...

when i get another 4850 i will need to remove my X-Fi XtremeGamer sound card to fit get another 4850 in. i hope the onboard sound are good. :)

Nope.

If you want to retain good sound then you can get an external DAC....you won't have all the fancy EAX gaming stuff that the creative card has though. But I've gone from a XFI to external DAC+amp and am very pleased with the change.

and I would not get a 4670, if you go CF get another 4850. :)
