Hey guys,

I'm very new to overclocking and i will tell you my past experiences when overclocking my CPU...

OKay so first off i tried 1.25 Vcore @4.4GHZ everything felt stable
Then i tried 1.25 Vcore @4.5GHZ and within 5 minutes of testing on prime 95 a BSOD occurred resulting in the; 0x124 error.

However, when i went back to prime 95 vcore @1.25 and @ 4.4GHZ my system crashed and BSOD'd again after around an hour or so of testing.

I would like to ask, what do I need to do to stop this 0x124 error occurring?
I know this error code is related to Vcore, but what exactly do i need to change?

My stock temps are as follows:

@stock: idle; 23 degrees
100% Load; around 65 degrees
@4.4GHZ: idle; 24-5 degrees
100% load; around 86 degrees

My goal is to get @4.2 or 4.3 GHZ but what setting would you guys recommend, to get a stable overclock. I'm just scared that i might break something, could you guys please give me some advice regarding this?

Thanks.

What motherboard and system config you using RAM etc...

124 on Haswell can mean Vcore, But its just as likely to be Ring/ Cache Voltage, IOA, IOD, SA or even VCCIN.

Use your PC for stability testing don't bother with hour upon hour of prime it proves nothing especially with Haswell. Ok do say twenty mins blend and Memtest to test your dimms. But after this just use your PC as you would normally to see if its stable for what you use it for. If it BSOD then just adjust from that.
