Anyone seen this yet? I found it a bit slow and Keanu Reeves was a bit wooden, would not have made any difference with him not being in the film

Keane Reeves wooden?! Who'd of thought it :p

I thought it was pretty poor to be honest, needed gore. It was all a bit comical.

Saw this over xmas period, had my 10 yr old nephew come visit me so took him to go see this and honestly i thought it was a pile of trash. Typical Keanu boring wooden acting, cgi was ok in a few places.

Hell even my 10 yr old nephew came out and the first thing he said was that was pretty boring lol.

Yeah I saw it as well and it was terrible. Nothing at all like the trailer made it out to be. And no blood or gore in a samurai film that depicts hari kari? I mean, come on.

I actually enjoyed this film. Keanu Reeves doesn't dominate the screen as much as I thought he would going into it, there are plenty of scenes where he takes a back seat. I was starting to think most Asian actors in English speaking films were crap (e.g. The Wolverine) but the acting was decent in this one.

I saw this on boxing day and really enjoyed it!
I didn't have high expectations, but it was perfectly fine! Nothing outstanding but in no way boring

Watched it a couple of days ago, purely because of Hiroyuki Sanada, I seem to like the films that he's been in when he portrays a samurai.... plus he got to whack Tom Cruise round the head a few times with a wooden stick :)

Wasn't the best film I've ever seen but it's far from the worst 'asian' film I've seen. Think it might have been better if they had someone other than Keanu in it though.

was ok until the end , why just why

Yeah, that was the only thing I didn't like, but that's apparently what it was like in Japan back then. If it wasn't for the ending I would have considered picking up the Blu-ray as a keeper as it's better then most Chinese films out there since Red-Cliff
