I remember reading a review where they were looking at sli on the 400 cards. I've had a quick glance at Google and have not managed to find it again. Does anyone know of a good review where a 470 sli is pitted against a 480?

I am looking to replace my 280 with a 400 and am not sure if I should go all out for the 480 or start with one 470 with the intention of adding a second in a few months. Cost wise the 480 with water block is about £540 and 2 x 470 with blocks are £730 (Asus cards with EK blocks)

I would hazard a guess that the 470 would only be quicker in games that have great sli scaling. In games such as FSX, which doesn't use SLI, the 480 would be better.

470 SLI scales very well and will easily out perform a 480, and if water cooled expect big gains in performance when overclocking.

A 470 overclocked to 770 on the core gives near enough 480 performance.
