470 sli?

Whats the price difference between 2x470 and one 580?
More importantly whats the performance difference between 2x470 and a 580?
If there isnt much in it, but the 580 works out a little bit more expensive.... I think your better of with the single 580, guaranteed performance vs theoretical SLI optimised performance....

There seems to be about a 15%-30% difference in most cases, in the 470 SLI's favour. In Civilization V there's little difference, and in Mass Effect the difference is 50%.
I'm upgrading my graphics card at the moment, and whilst I'm waiting until next month to see what the 6970 is like, the 470 SLI looks to be a better option than a 580 from what I can see.

With the 570 supposedly coming out this year and possibly being on par with the 480 but quieter and cooler, I'm interested in seeing the prices of those things. It will probably be a lot of £ to SLI them, but we'll see.
Bare in mind that most GTX470 will clock pretty well if you don't mind the noise in SLI (not that bad) have good cooling and have the PSU.
With a good overclock my pair don't do badly against a GTX580 SLI setup at less than half the price (between 10 and 30% slower depending on scenario).
