Hi
Guys I've got 2 x 4770 in crossfire, and Im just worring about the temps.
I have them plugged into a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P Motherboard. The thing is that the cooler from the card in slot 1 is touching the second card, the temps are 50c at idle and go past 75c when im using furmark.
I know furmark really stresses the cards out, but im worried about an intense gaming session.

Has any one got any advice

Cheers:cool:

Yeah stop worrying and get yourself some Crossfired action! :D

Those temps while slightly warm are still perfectly safe, I think the HD4850 I first had ran at about 75°C idle heh! :p

Those cards will probably be good for 100°C at least

Furmark is pretty much a worse case scenario in terms of heat generation, give some games a whirl and you will find the cards don't heat up as much!

Here ya go ste2005, just to put your mind at rest!

If your hottest card in the Crossfired set-up if only reaching 75°C under full Furmark (and in the early summer heats we are slowly getting now) I would say your doing a good job!

Here are some old results from the original HD4850 running as a single card in a well cooled case, full load wasn't even furmark but a lightweight DX9 app running in a window!

If you want to reduce temps further you may be able to adjust the cards fans speeds and/or play with your case cooling and maybe add a 120mm fan blowing down at your cards!

My 4870 can run 70c idel on warm days :p

Runs cooler once it starts getting used and fan kicks in tho lol, i should prob ajust those settings ;)
