4770k Apprpriate memory

Hey guys,

Just ordered a new haswell build based on the i7-4770k. I know the memory controller is awesome so I was wondering if the ram I was planning to use (that I already own) was good enough to use or if I should invest in a better kit seen as though I'm spending so much on the processor. I game and encode.

Ram is Kingston HyperX Predator 1866 2x4gb
XMP TIMING PARAMETERS
• JEDEC: DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9 @1.5V
• XMP Profile #1: D3-1866 CL9-11-9 @1.65V
• XMP Profile #2: D3-1600 CL9-9-9 @1.65V

1866 is fast enough imo,you might even manage to overclock it to 2133mhz without too much hassle

Try the Samsung Green memory. It's sold as 1600mhz, but it's ridiculously overclockable. It's also 30nm and runs so cool it doesn't even need a heat spreader
