Have removed side of case for the time being until a decent cooler arrives.

Will it be thermal throttled at this point?

What usage is giving these temps?

My CPU breaks 90 encoding with the stock cooler

They throttle at 100c so nothing to be too worried about unless silly volts

90 degrees is fine but its winter so it would throttle in the summer

Intel made a good move dropping coolers on recent 'K' processors.

Swap thermal paste or get a new cooler. With that cpu you want to get something decent to keep it cool.

Either the cooler is not making good contact, or the workload is inappropriate for the cooler.
