ok want to check my temps and see where i can go with this setup in terms of stable oc and reasonable temps.

so i have set the h100i fans to performance mode
gone to 45 on the multiplier
and have set a 1.260 voltage core

temps are as follows -

seems a little high for my liking, can i reduce the voltage core further or will the oc become unstable i wonder...

core 0 and core 3 have 9 degree difference, wonder i f i need to reseat the cooler

Thanks, only just see your reply.

Its nice and stable, been using without issue for a few days now, idle temps are 30 to 33 across the 4 cores now, the temps have evened out a fair bit as there was a bigger margin between them.

Now just need to get a different cooler for my gpu as with no oc the card is still hitting 93 with stock cooler and fan set to auto which hits about 50% can tun this up via afterbutner but it becomes very audible.

Thanks for the thoughts, looked at the fans and the Enermax Magma fans seem a good piece of kit as follows,

H100i fans

• Fan speed: 2700 RPM
• Fan airflow: 77 CFM
• Fan dBA: 37.68 dBA

Enermax Magma fans

• Speed-Adjust
• Flow (CFM): 69,15
• Flow (m³/h): 117,49
• Noise (dB(A)): 18

so a bit less airflow but way less noise.

atomic, I've got a similar system to you but with a h80i, tried reading the over clocking guides but getting confused with different terminologies and how the gigabyte describes it. Is their any chance and telling me exactly what changes you made in which sections of the bios.
cheers

Ian

Ok im no expert either just read a lot what other had done and tried it from there. so the following is what i have now done so far-

ok so under Performance and then Frequency i changed the following -
CPU CLock ratio from 35 to 45
Extreme memory profile(x.m.p) to profile 1 (to use all my 1600mhz ram speed)

Then just above the extreme memory profile you can see on my bios it says Advanced CPU Core Settings.
In here i changed the following -
Uncore Ratio to 43 (could not match the same clock speed of 45)

then at the bottom of the same menu (Advanced CPU core settings) i Disabled the following -

CPU Enhanced halt C1E
C3 State Support
C6/C7 State Support
CPU Eist Funtion

I also went into Voltage CPU Core Voltage and changed the following -

CPU Vrin Loadline calibration to turbo
CPU Vrin External Overide to 1.900v
CPU Vcore 1.248v
CPU Ring Voltage 1.160v

the pic shows a slightly lower vcore and cpu ring voltage, i upped them as it made the response in windows a lot more snappy.

now depending on how your chip performs and system cooling etc may effect how far you can push your system, but hope these settings give you a good start and sorry for some of the pics being a little poor :)

the temps with intel burn test were a lot worse than i get with aida64 or in any game situation or heaven 4.

upped the speed to 4.6ghz now and the top end temp is like a spike not sat there all the time.
