4770k help

Hi all I've just purchased a maximus hero mobo and 4770k. I'm wanting to over clock but the more I read the more complicated it gets!

So tell me if this is right

My goal is 4.5ghz

From what I've read all I have to do is bump my CPU to 4ghz. And work my way up from there until I BSOD.

If it crashes and I haven't reached 4.5ghz yet bump the voltage up bit by bit until no crashes happen.

Then turn off all power saving options on mobo?

Then if all seems well just run a stress test over night and make sure my temps haven't exceeded 85degrees.

Please add anything else I need to do or shouldn't do!

Just whack it straight to 4.5Ghz and 1.2 core voltage as per this ASUS video:

Vincent I cant change the voltage? theres not fully manual setting for me

i whacked it on 4.5ghz and XMP and everything else auto with a few power management settings turned of and boots up fine. 4.6 starts changing things for me!
