4770k under water

Hey guys,

I've just started clocking my new 4770k. I'm at 4.5Ghz at the mo.

I just started with a hefty does of volts (1.36) and am going to work down (hopefully)

I'm seeing temps of water + 50C though, is that normal?

My 2500k was getting water + 30C.

Are many people de-lidding these chips?

Actually there have been spikes of upto water + 65C!

That's a core temp of 95!

haswell chips run hot and yes a lot delid to combat this

Mine hits 60c at it's hottest on a full load under water but it has got other things in the loop i.e mosfets and 2x 780s.

my 4770k hits 75C at 1.28V with a Silver Arrow in a MM UFO Case! Hot bugger!
