I was interested in purchasing a 478 motherboard for my computer as I don't really want to upgrade at the moment but I have found that when I go onto Ebay they seem to be selling at a very high price, from £50 up to £140. I am very surprised that secondhand boards are going for this price and just wanted to find out if it is worthwhile purchasing these items from Ebay or would it be better just to upgrade. I wanted to get the 478 motherboard because I thought it would be within my budget.

Has anybody had experience with purchasing this type of item from Ebay?

You can buy 478 mobos from other etailers - obviously can't say which or link to them.

Are you looking for a particular set of features (SATA, PCI-E or AGP port etc)? If so, then goto one of the main board vendors (Asus or Abit) and have a look at their range. Find the one you want and then hunt down a supplier.

Ebay is not always the cheapest solution
