I am trying to find a decent air cooler and motherboard for overclocking some old p4's. does anyone know where i could get one and if that is a stable board for overclocking?

I fail to see the point in retro overclocking. I overclocked them back in the day ... 12 years ago, but there was serious money to be saved by overclocking a 1.8A instead of buying a 2.6GHz. P4 gear is recycling material as it has virtually no monetary value. It's not like you can learn much from overclocking a P4 anyway, the modern chips/boards are way different.

If you want to buy gear then get the requisite number of posts and ask in the members market.

I've got most of the gear i need for free. I will also be able to use this cooler on newer sockets too. Its really just for fun.

Really? Most 478 coolers secure to into the Intel brackets and didn't transfer across to newer sockets like 775 to my knowledge.

Shame you didn't post a few weeks ago, sent lots of old parts for recycling from the parents place that I'd long since forgotten about years ago. The only bit I kept for sentimental reasons was a FOP32 heatsink for a socket 370. They screamed. Literally!
