4790k - Just up multi and go!?

Hi all,

Just a quick one. Got a new bundle arriving tomorrow and getting excited by the prospect! Not done much work today, just browsing information!

With these socket 1150 setups is it just as simple as up cpu multi and core voltage etc? no faffing with other voltages? (e.g. VTT on X58!) Leave BCLK at 100MHz?

I know how to overclock in general just wanted to know if there's any other common tweaks you do on this platform?

Asus Gene VII
Corsair H105
Superflower 750W Fully Modular
Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB 2400MHz CL11

Pretty much, but monitor your temps. What will your cooling solution be?

I've read things about VCCIN too.

Will be using a H105.

Id suggest googling an oc guide for your board. Clocking haswell isn't just as simple as changing the multi and core voltage.

What mobo have you gone for? if its gigabyte something like this maybe helpfull.
