4790K or 5820K

My PC. In sig is struggling to play BF4 at Max settings. GPU Usage is around 60% while my CPU Maxes out at 100% while playing. I think the CPU is holding it back.

I have heard BF4 benefits from Hyper threading/additional cores.

Would you go for the relatively expensive 4790k or go for X99, motherboard changes would be required but that's not a massive problem. I can sell my current equipment.

Pretty confused how two quite frankly old graphics cards are being held back by one of the fastest quadcore CPUs you can buy???

Please don't tempt me with a 980ti. I've only just bought these cards haha.

I wouldn't under estimate these cards to be honest. They surprise me. It will run BF4 in Ultra at 1440p with only the occasional slow down. But I assumed that was my CPU because of the 100% usage. While my GPUs are at 60%

You guys make me sad Ill keep on with it for a while. Then I will save my pennies and buy a 980ti guessing all brands are about the same now. In terms of quality.

My CPU is an animal. 29.c idle and 55.c max rock solid stable 5ghz. But tone it down to 4.6ghz for day to day use.

980TI after I sort some other stuff out. Got some problem fans and quite fancy some new cans.

That's what I mean. Silly comparing the two. Even the rainforests price is a joke compared to the 5820k.
