Its an option that I considered, (very similar system to yours). But I opted for X99 instead.
 
Are AMD actually gonna release a good CPU? Otherwise Intel will be releasing their new CPU's with a whole 10% quicker than previous versions the foreseeable future. Reckon my 4770K will last a good 3 years yet.
 
No m8. I went from your 4770k to x99 set up (nearly went skylake 6700k )and gained absolutely nothing except less money in the bank. Don't do it as the only real gains noticeable are in benchmarking and faster video encoding. Gaming nothing and general response nothing. Last time I'll ever upgrade unless there is a massive massively massive boost.
 
SInce your 4790k is overclocking quite well i wouldnt risk it, ya might get a stinker of a 6700k and end up losing performance. I remember loads of people doing that when ivybridge came out, switching from 4.8ghz+ sandy chips to ivy chips that could barely manage 4.5.
