48-50" ish TV -- £6-800?

Looking to wall mount my TV in the lounge and am using is as an ideal reason to change from my 6-7 year old plasma. I currently have a 42" screen but with the size of the bezel, I recon I can get away with a 48-50" ish screen for the same size.

Not going to get into 4k at this level and not fussed around 3d so looking for very good HD/SD performance.

What do I look at?

May have to rethink the size.....the wall the TV is going on may only take a 42" screen

Still, I should get a better panel for the same money I guess

Unfortunately the wall I'm having to mount it on is the smallest in the lounge so can't go bigger than the current 42" plasma chassis. I could maybe go to a 46ish but would need to measure carefully
