ive just built a new comp and im having issues with getting display to work ,im using led tv with hdmi cable works ok on my old comp using a 780 card my new card is a amd 480 and I sent it back thinking it was dead but turns out its working fine ,any ideas or someone came across this

What is the resolution of your TV?

If it's 4k have you tried an HDMI 2 cable - also try lowering the refresh rate to 50 then 40 then 30. If it starts to work it may be a driver/compatibility issue (presumed you've tried latest drivers etc..).

Your TV may even have a firmware update available...

I haven't been able to get display up to set bios ,ive had new g/card in old system but it wont display and ive had old card in new system and it wont display

If the known good 780 doesn't work in the new system, I'd suspect the motherboard is faulty. The 480 not working in the old system could potentially be explained by it needing a BIOS update, since brand new cards sometimes don't play nice with old boards, but there's no good reason why a functional 780 shouldn't work in a brand new setup, when it works with the same display in your old system. Plus if you've returned the 480 and it's been tested and found working, that means you now know that two functional cards haven't worked on the same board.

right got it working tried on another tv and it posted no probs but my other comp worked on other tv no probs so ended buying new tv and no issues upto now
