4800+ Dual Core worth it?

i was looking into upgrading my 3700 currently running at 2.8 ghz to an x2 4400 and after reading this was wondering if it was a good overclocker , could someone who has this processor please post their rig specs and a cpuz chart for me to look at.

I mainly surf the internet, play games and listen to my music all at the same time so will i see a big increase in performance, my brother has a conroe and says that since he has had dual core has noticed a big performance increase while doing the same sort of stuff as me on his pc.

Any help or advice would be great.

Thanks

couldn't quite get first core stable on prime95. rock solid for everything else though. Run it at 2.8Ghz at 1.35V for general purpose. You need a CCBIE stepped 4400+. these are only available with product code ADV4400CDBOX.

the ADV's also use CCBWE steppings which aren't great generally so you need to be careful. I got mine from OcUK which was advertised as an ADA4400CDBOX but I got an ADV. all latest ADA's are CCBWE's.

If you can get a CCBIE you are gauranteed at least 2.8Ghz (according search on google).

wont notice a great increase in performance for games(yet) but for running multiple apps its so much faster.

Good luck.

Thats good but were talking about the difference between a CCBWE that will overclock to 2.6GHz at 1.5V and a CCBIE that will overclock to 3Ghz on similar voltages.

But a point you have raised which i didn't point out is that even CCBWE 4400's will overclock aswell as 4800's(which are all CCBWE's).

All i am doing is advising of the best steppings, I'm not dissing the CCBWE's just saying that they aren't as good as CCBIE's.
