Are there any good cpu progs that i need to monitor my cpu?

Lapped the IHS instead, didnt have the balls to remove it. Not got the cash to replace it if something did go wrongshamus21 said:last ones now floating around a few retailers are not that good. you will need to put a lot of volts into it to get best clocks . the one i picked up 2 weeks back tops out at 2760 won`t go higher on air just to hot. will be removing the cap weekend should see me up to around 2800 area but not something you should do unless your not to worried about killing the chip.![]()

Not sure thats the right part of the code. Mine, for example is a CCBWE. No idea if that is good or not, or what it really means. It doesnt change anything about the CPU, just as you say contains info about what batch it is. So if theres a good batch, others can check to see if they have one from the same.jpe20 said:Hi there,
Just found the numbers I wrote down from the chip. I will just give the middle line (seems to be the one that people use)
LDB4F 0626XPdw ...... So what stepping is this then????

Got the CPU to 2.7 stable at 1.55v 225HTT and the memory 1:1 2,2,2,5 @ 3.3v but it would fall over at random times. Sometimes after an hour of priming perfectly.
Shame, because OC'ing is still pretty fun to me, but I just cant be arsed trying to find the sweet spot.
Good luck to the rest of you with 4800's![]()
Im on water, which is the irritating thing!Final8y said:ppl are running the cpu`s too hot.
My +4800 would not do 2.8 Ghz at 1.6V untill i pointed the airconditioner at the cpu fan! rockstable but then the aircon packed up & system restest at anything above 2.724 on air..overheating cpu.
when i finally get the water sorted then i hope to pass 2.8
