Dunno if that is entirely true. I sold 1 year old 5770 a few weeks back for £85 ....only paid £116 new! Maybe someone had the exact same spec card and needed another for Crossfire I dont know but I was very pleased with the price. IN the past have been shocked at how little a few of my Nvidia cards went for though, think a 9800GX2 lost well over £100 (think it was more like £130) and only had it a few months.
Rightly or wrongly I agree Nvidia cards are perceived as better quality, maybe this has something to do withthem looking/feeling better (ie, metal casings rather than sometimes Ati's rather cheap looking plastic shrouds).
