4850 1gb SILENT

106° was when there was no airflow around this vga, in properly build PC system this should never happen!

but this is Multi-Core cooling system which requires proper airflow around it. That's why bit-tech finally measured and reported : "when we tested the card with simulated case cooling from a side vent, the Multi-Core cooling solution kept the GPU incredibly cool - the core idled at just 35°C and after an hour of load the highest temperature we recorded was 48°C"

so don't worry about melting any cables and the VGA itself

I had this card and RMAd it. It was just to darn hot. It didn`t however crash at any time, but day in and day out for x months at 110°C, didn`t wanna risk it. The whole PCB had actually started to bow after 3 weeks

I have canny airflow too, good card otherwise. They do an OCd 700Mhz 1Gb variant with a factory fitted Zalman fan and H/S which I wanted, but it wasn`t in stock :\
