4850 512 vs 1024 ?

Any difference with double the ram ?

Play BF2, Total War 2, Red alert 2.

1920x1200 and i like full settings on all my games.

Was also looking at 4870 as its the same price but i prefer the cooling system on the asus 4850 (looks like a zalman cpu cooler lol)

Will i notice a difference between the extra vram ?

edit : i bought a 4870 elsewhere and had to RMA it and got a refund!

tbh preferring the cooling system isn't enough to go for a 4850 over a 4870 especially if you like your gaming.

I doubt it. Couple of fps here and there.

I've got a 512MB 4850 from launch day and it plays the above titles just fine.

For 1900 x 1200 and max settings I'd go for a 1gb card.
