Hey,

I bought an Asus 4850 and installed it on Friday.
Also installed Crysis last night (been holding off until getting graphics upgrade)and had a couple of hours on it so far.

Anyway, I heard that the 4850 is supposed to be very efficient when using AA. Thing is, I've been doing a couple of experiments with the AA settings in the game (I havent intalled CCC).

If I stand in exactly the same spot and switch AA settings, I get the following.

4 x aa = 19 fps
2 x aa = 24 fps
0 x aa = 29 fps

So does this look right. It seems the AA does take quite a hit.

BTW...I'm happy with 0 aa anyway as it happens as the game still looks pretty nice with everything on high, and runs reasonable enough for my liking.

Cheers.

Crysis is one of those games I could barely notice if I had AA on or not, unless you actually stopped and stared at the edges. Overall the 4850 on other games handles AA very well.

I use 4xaa on TF2 with maxed settings at 1280x1024 and the fps seems to hover between 140-240 fps which is a big improvement over my last card (x1900 256mb). That is with a very small and safe overclock (650/1025).
