Right I'm trying to mod my Gainward BIOS for increased voltage. Have been speaking to some guy on another forum, but I'm not 100% clear on which box's in RBE I am supposed to increase the voltage to 1.158v.

In the following thread (you may have to join) I have to zip files mod.zip and mod2.zip (100% virus free, don't worry), mod2 has more boxes filled in with 1.158v.

Basically which one is best to flash?

Thanks guys :)

You shouldnt have to increase the UVD and boot up clocks so the default voltage should be left there. As for the max voltage via BIOS, it is 1.200v.

Al you have to do is increase clock infos 3 and 6-9.

Heres a very basic BIOS whcih I edited with improved powerplay settings

It should work with all reference hd4850s without the need for pencilmods. Its what I use currently as Ive removed my pencilmod due to power usage increases which I didnt want.

Heres the original untouche bios http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/16357/MSI.HD4850.512.080605.html

Hmm, I was told that 1.158v in the BIOS gives 1.2v as thats the maximum voltage you can enter.
