4850 + COD4 @ 1920x1200 Maxed + 4xAA

This bug, where can i find out more about it ? Ive never heard about it before, il have to take a look .

The info was on the infinity ward forums and mysteriously got pruned after the forum update...

Make sure you do not use ATI Edge Detect AA with this game as that saps performance a lot.

Try using Box instead.

COD4 I can get 85-90FPS on a 4850 @ 1920x1200 with 4xAA and very little slowdown unless there is a lot of onscreen smoke & action at once.

Ran a bench on the tank rescue level @1900x1200, 4xaa all settings maxed on my stock 8800 gts512.

Felt like a slideshow in some parts, new card time methinks.

as you are beginning to see, the 48 series cards score well in benchmarks but as your experience is with real life gameplay the cards are a flop. its been the life story of ati, best thing you can do is lower the settings or drop the resolution. failing that only option is to get a nvidia card.

I'm sorry but how the heck does the 4800 series fail at real life gameplay?!?!?!
You sure you're not getting the numbers confused?
