For today's gaming, if I were playing on a 32" monitor, do you think an XFX Radeon 4870 will run games at high settings ok? Or do you think it would be worth spending the extra £40 on getting two 4850's for crossfire? Will be playing high-end games like FC2, Crysis, CoD etc.

you dont need a powerful card to run 1080p, i have a ATI Radeon X1650 in my current computer im using and i can run 1080p (tried Transformers in 1080p).

at 32" im presuming a 1080p TV, a 4870 1GB should handle that OK, might see a slight drop with Crysis but i highly doubt it.
