I got my 4850 recently, and installed the latest drivers for it (hotfix ones), and ive noticed that in Crysis and Company of Heroes DX10, they both run incredibly stuttery, whereas in DX9, silky smooth no problems. Would i be right in thinking they havent got the drivers up and running properly yet ?

Well, I have not had any problems with a 4870.

The 4850's I tried in crossfire did not seem to suffer from any stutterring, but I did not try them for very long - will give them a proper workout once the Catalyst 8.8's are out (Hurry up ATI)

There was not Hotfix for the 8.7 Catalysts as far as I am aware, so perhaps you are using the 8.6 Catalyst? Have a look, and if so, download the 8.7's

Just be sure to completely uninstall the 8.6, re-start, and if Vista installs some kind of basic driver use the device manager to unisntall it and select yes when it asks if you wnat to completely remove the driver software. Re-start and install the 8.7's

Edit: Though I dont' think it's your issue here, 2GB mroe ram would help the system nicely.

My 4850 has been nothing but great with everything i have tried.... of course you cant crank the settings in crysis to the Max, but everything else is good :-)

Ah woops looks like i wasnt using the latest drivers, i used the ones from the AMD Game site instead of AMD's own, running well now :). Thanks !
