Hello

Planning to upgrade my Rad X1950 Pro to a 4850. (seems to be the best card for that price point).

My question is:

Would it be best to go for a 1024MB one @625MHz, or a 512 one @650MHz.
I'm guessing the former, but I'm not sure...

Also feel free to chip in if you think the 4850 is pants etc.

I've got a 17" LCD, so won't be going above 1280x1024 (and I'm not intending to upgrade my monitor in the immediate future)

Also thinking of Vista Home Prem (64bit) + 4GB ram and the CPU is an E6750 (not thinking of changing that), in case that makes a difference.

1024mb is WAY overkill for that resolution. In fact 4850 is overkill at that resolution but it's definately one of the best price/performance cards out there.
