Found it, thanks
(Make sure your amp is on and with the right input selected before you do any of this to ensure correct handshake when the PC boots)
Go to Realtek.com.tw
ftp://202.65.194.212/pc/audio/HDMI-R203.exe
Download the ATI HDMI Audio Driver from their HD Audio driver download page.
Install.
Switch to the new HDMI Audio Device (might be called ATI HDMI Audio) in playback, change the HDMI Audio to default.
Click Configure, then select the number of speakers you want to use; Quadrophonic or 5.1 in your case. Click ok and go through all the follow up tests.
Then click the ATI HDMI Audio in the list and click properties. Look through the tab til you can find the available signals and check all the ones your amp will support; DD and DTS being the usual ones, along with the correct Khz settings.
Click OK.
Restart to make sure any settings and handshaking issues are not involved.
You should now have PCM HDMI audio to your amp, and when there is direct DD available that will be sent over the HDMI providing you are in straight/direct mode on your amp
Please note if you are a purist for music playback that having output to 5.1 will enable a bass management function for WMP mp3 playback, rather than straight 2.0 giving you 2.1 output, temporarily changing this to only have 2 speakers with configure again will deal with this.
