When i go into the 3d settings in CCC where you can chose AA etc

it makes a screeching noise even on mute and stops if i turn monitor off.

What can cause that?

Thanks in advance.

Update; its not doing it on CCC anymore, only on some random games anyone got any ideas its like a small screeching from the card/screen have to turn of screen mute does nothing.

Well first off You need to find the source of the noise, Make sure the GFX card is picking up the EDID from the monitor (monitor driver)

Well that EDID is ticked and it plays all the newest games great fc2,fo3,C&C but on a certain games like Tibia (don't even have sound) the settlers, i get this noise.

Phoned who i bought it from said resistor was on way out getting refund and buying asus one from ocuk!

i think your right i just tested some more my monitor volume was on 100 i turned it down to 50 and i cant hear the buzzing now!

So i guess its the monitor then, any ideas why it does it?

Only one and that is if the GFX card has not picked up the monitor EDID info (tells the card what the monitor is able to run at) and it's trying to set to high a refresh , You could also try the in ATI settings...things like alternate frequency for high res monitors etc..

Ok cheers i was thinking about getting a new monitor anyway, you think that would solve that problem to?
