4850 overkill for my system

Was thinking of upgrading my 1950 pro as i think it might be holding back my system a bit (see below, i also have 4GB of ram now as well). A 4850 seems to be the best bang for buck, but will the rest of my system hold it back and therefore make it a pointless upgrade?

I use 2* 19inch moitors at 1152 by 864 res

I can't speak from experience - but I have a similar spec to you and have been considering a 4850. The only issue I've ever had is with framerates with lots of FX turned on. I reckon a simple upgrade to 4850 will provide you with a huge boost in games.

4850 would be fine and not overkill at all, imo.

An 8800GT would do that res fine (mine copes great at 1920x1200 still), but I don't think a 4850 would be overkill either.
