Hi,

I've just got my powercolor 4850 today and I've noticed that there doesn't appear to be an option to enable powerplay in CCC. I installed the hotfix drivers straight away. Do I need to install the official catalyst 8.6 drivers and then install the hotfix drivers over the top? Or is it just not included in CCC for the 4850 yet? Sorry if this had already been asked.

Ah right, that would explain it then. It's just that I've seen a screenshot that had the powerplay option in the graphics tree (even says its there in the CCC help section- obviously isn't), it must have been an old screenshot. Thanks anyway.

don't know about the 4850 but on my 3850, if you look at the overdrive tab it shows the current speed at the bottom (mine is 300mhz on the core as opposed to 670 when it's under load).

I think ATI has revamped it a little with the new cards, It still has Multiple power phases but learnt from the 3800 series which had issues detecting some of the 3D modes correctly, much like Nvidia 7600 cards problems
