Hi All

had my card for about 2 months now i guess.Just turned my pc on and on the booting screens instead of there being black and white text they are now green and blue. Odd i thought but anyhow, PC boots upto desktop fine.

Everything works fine, i can play games, resolution is sharp as it should be, no artifacts etc but everything is a weird shade of blue. Any ideas??

Everything is upto date drivers etc and have just reinstalled gfx drivers again to make sure but no change

E2180@ stock
4 gig ram
320gig sata II hd
vista premium 64 bit
512 meg powercolour 4850
abit ip35 mobo
8.8 cata's

I'm puzzled! Please help

thanks!

Seriously, have you checked that the vga cable is plugged in properly.

The only time this happened to me this was the cause.............

Sorry yeah i have reconnected the cables but i never opened the case up, perhaps the card has come loose somehow but i thought if this happend the PC would display no signal if not connected properly.

Hmm everything seems to be in place snugly, any other ideas?

Edit - oh yeah these cards run bloody hot don't they, after getting the case open and re positioning the card it was almost too hot to hold

Got a spare monitor to see if the problem lies with the monitor? Or try using a different input, like VGA if you're using DVI. Also got a spare monitor cable? Worth a shot.

The only time I've ever had this, it was my monitor cable that came loose, at either the GPU end OR the monitor end (if removable).

Every time I've heard of this happening it's been the cable, so if you have another cable, try that first.

Edit: Beaten to it :(

Great minds and all that!:p

Well i've checked both ends, couldn't get them to fix in any tighter. Possibly a new monitor cable time then?

Are they expensive?
