4850 red light x3

Hey guys
Today my pc broke. It was extremely random and i haven't done anything on my pc except browse the internet for quite a while. Now whenever i try and start it i get a red light which flashes 3 times on my 4850 and then it stays on and when i try to turn it off from the power button it won't work, so i have to turn it off from the back.
My system specs are:
x4 955
Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P
2gb xsm3
xfx 4850
(crappy) winpower 450w psu

I've already tested to make sure it isn't the gpu but I think it may be the psu. Obviously i can't just test if it is the psu right now but i will be doing sometime this week.

Can anyone confirm my suspicion or tell me what the problem is?

^^ There's your problem right there. ^^

On my 4890 the red lights signify bad power and came on when I was testing a DOA PSU.

Replace the PSU with a decent unit.

i am looking towards a decent one. But i haven't really used my pc much. Nothing ever happened when i was gaming and i can still turn the pc on, just not turn it off from the power button.
But just wanted to confirm it is the psu before i spend money on a decent one.
