I got a pre-built system from Ocuk the other day which came with a 4850 graphics card. I upgraded to the 4870 but there was a mixup with the order so I have to send the 4850 back for a replacement but that's not the issue.
The motherboard has terrible placements for the SATA inputs - they are right in front of the PCI-E slot so a large graphics card can't sit in the slot properly without taking out the SATA cables
The 4850 card fits (just) due to the fan being in the middle of the card and it being 'open' on the end so the SATA cables sit pushed up against the card. I tried my brothers 260 gtx and it's physically impossible for it to fit as it's like a brick.
It's costing me an extra £50 for the 4870 - should I send back the 4850 512mb to get my 4870 1gb or should I save the £50?
