Few questions that i can't find a proper answer to..
I know you can Tri-Fire the 3870X2 and 3870, this uses two PCIE slots, Using a Motherboard with 3x PCIE slots (Abit IX38, X38 Chipset) can you Tri-Fire 3x 4850 video cards?
Reason i ask is 3x 4850's come out at £352 and 2x 4870's come out at about the same price, given the great scaling of the 4800 series i wonder if a tri-fire 4850 setup will be faster than a simple crossfire 4870 setup?
I've seen something on the internet about correct crossfire connector usage so you must beable to connect three of these things together, question is will they work and scale as well as 2x cards given the 3rd PCIE slot is only 4x (I think?)
