4850 vrs 4830

The 4830 also has only 640 stream processors as opposed to the 4850's 800. Personally I'd go for the 4850, but it's up to you whether you think it's worth the extra cash.

4830's are only like somewhere in the line of 10-15% less performance than the 4850, so really it is just up to your budget.

The 4850 would be the most easiest choice, but the 4830 are still very good cards in their own right i.e. affordable, smaller PCB, less power draw and heat.

Depending on the game I've seen the 4830 be anywhere between 5% upto 35% slower than the 4850. Average 10%-20% in most though.

Also be aware that a lot of companies leave extra's like the DVI to HDMI adapter out of the 4830 bundle to save money. Not all but I've seen it mentioned in a few reviews... worth looking out for if you want it?

Not really on a budget. I want to get back into PC gaming but not sure weather I will or not. Gone of the PC to a console
