4850 Vs GTX285

Is that score derived from average framerates of game benchmarks? If not, you can't really compare clock speed/shaders etc because of architecture differences.

the 285 should be about 30-40% faster than the 4850

GTX 285 was the most powerful single-GPU card in its day. So it will beat even a 4890.

It will just beat a 4890 it's on par with a GTX460 SE or HD 5830
