having 8800GTX with 768MB vRAM, im thinking 512MB may not be enough for the future.

im those people who cannot live without AA you see, so 4xAA is considered low for me, as long as there's the option, i'll turn on 16xQCSAA.
and we all know AA eats memory for breakfirst.

so anyone know whether a 1GB GDDR5 version of 4870 is comming?

also, what's the highest AA option in ATI cards?
as i understand from my x1650pro experience, ATI cards only do 4xAA in most games, only nVidia cards can do 16xQCSAA. or am i completely wrong?

so what's the highest AA setting available in Devil May Cry 4?
and what's the highest AA setting in HL2 engine? 24x?

so 4870 1GB very soon.
perfect upgrading time: Abit iP45 Pro + 4870. :D

that price actually looks reasonable.

think about it, 4870 don't take much hit in AA, so you'll want to enable it as high as possible. and with current games filling up 512MB. 1GB with ultra high AA while the GPU is still able to push out good framerates.

so with AA enabled, this 1GB 4870 should be able to beat or on par with gtx280
