4870 1GB to 5570 1GB

Anyone does this move?

Is it much slower in real terms having the 5770 over the 4870 1GB?

Or do the lower power and temps make the shift worth it?

a 5770 is slower than a 4870 so a 5570 will be a big down grade

Damn near identical when I made the switch.

Obviously the 5770 is a lot cooler, quieter, and less power hungry.

5770 is just a touch slower but has all the benefits of the 5***

Very similar performance, 5770 will be a lot coooler and quieter though.

i was looking at the same a while ago for my htpc and thought sod it not woth the extra £50 for less perfomance so i bought a 4870x2 for a £100 and slod my 512 4870 for £55 just waiting for it to arrive

Not worth the change imho.

Even with the benefits of DX11, less power and cooler.

You will be paying £50+ for essentially the same performance.
