4870 512 upgrade to help??

Want to upgrade this bad boy, going to sell the old 4870 512mb

Got e8400 @ 4.05ghz
Corsair 620w modular psu
Asus p5q pro

Options (i have a rather lot of money but would rather not spend all but will if i need to

1: 4870 512mb Xfire, what do you think? not sure i have the power connectors for this
2: 5770 Xfire, afaik same performance as 4870xfire but with newer tech
3: 58** sereies card... I CANT WAIT THIS LONG DAMNIT OCUK
4: Nvida card, whats going to be a good upgrade over the 4870? or is this not as good as other options

Just sold my 4870 too and have a 5770 on the way and will get another after Xmas. 5870 performance for less money. There's stock available too.
