Hi, my gf has this fairly new pc and I put a 4870 in so she could play a few games, But this thing has no fan controls what so ever ati tool or catalyst centre have nothing to control it. it must be running at what seems to be 100% as it sounds like a rocket but idles at 86c thats insane :eek:

Is this normal for this kind of card I know they generally get hot but idles at this temperature is a little excessive.:confused:
 
Nevermind -- I got it wrong it wasnt the Graphics card although this thing still sounds like a rocket, I read that Temp Pin 3 wasnt the graphics card and I was looking at the wrong temps Duh!

But still anyone know what TMPIN3 is in AOD, lot of reports as its a non working pin, lot of people are getting high temps reading from it. around the 80 to 100c mark??
