Okay so i'm currently running a ATI Radeon 4870 HD Sapphire 512, But i've been hearing a lot about PSU's being extremely vital, I'm currently running a cheap WIN POWER PSU 700 watt PSU, could this bottle neck at all? i'm not to wise when it comes to power (hence the cheap PSU) just curious as the next thing i was thinking of upgrading was actually the PSU but is it worth it?

I would say yes, the PSU is an important part of a stable setup in my opinion, a cheap PSU even though rated at 700w may not be able to maintain that or any were near that load for length of time, also they may not have the protection circuit in event of failure to protect your system.

What is your full spec, you may be able to get away with a 520w psu or 620w psu.

Check out Corsair,Bequiet and Enermax.

I run the 520w and 620w Corsair and the 620w Enermax liberty which failed last year (RMA replaced)

In a nutshell, yes it is.

With the one you have, the efficiency would be terrible and who knows what the draw from the power socket would be.

A decent Corsair would be ideal. Possibly a 520w one.

Well running a cheap PSU might give you trouble if it goes bang, as they often take components with them. I had a really cheap 600W Colors-it PSU and decided on balance that I shouldn't run expensive kit on a cheap PSU and went with a corsair. Touch wood it's been excellent, quiet and reliable.

Since you have a powerful card and no doubt a good system I'd be tempted to get a new powersupply. It is up to you though, but you will often hear on these forums that you should choose a powersupply as carefully as you choose any other component in your system.

Okay well i'm using a ATI RAdeon 4870 HD Sapphire 512, Q6600 Overclocked to 3.5, Asus P5Q Pro mobo, Caviar 7200 640 gig sata HDD

You have a nice setup. Get a nice PSU.

Imagine if you had a nice car that you spent a lot of time working to pay for, then time to fix it up. You wouldn't then use syrup to power it would you?

Valid point and point taken, Can anyone suggest a PSU to give my system what she needs? I'm willing to pay roughly about £100 on a decent one, Ofcouse if theres anything cheaper that'll do nicely it's always welcome :)

Another vote for Corsair PSUs although i wouldn't say the 750W is best suited to you, I'd tend to advise the HX620 - ample power with the bonus of being modular i.e. you don't have lose unplugged cables; so improves cable management.
