4870 crash, please help

Wonder if anyone can help

I have 2 Sapphire 4870 512Mb cards in crossfire, they run perfectly well except when I try and play Empire Total War, which it seems stresses the cards to breaking point, after a few minutes of play my monitor loses signal and computer crashes, onlooking inside PC I see that the D601 LED is lit on my first card, which I know indicates critical core power failiure, Ive ran GPUz in background and logged to files which shows my temps skyrocket pretty rapidly with the following results

GPU temp(memio) reaches 119C

VDDC Slaves 1 through 3 reach 150C ***Problem***

Main temps dont go above 90C which whilst hot I believe is acceptable?

Clearly something is wrong, can anyone help me as to why only this game is causing my temps to shoot up and therefore computer to crash, and whether there is anything I can do to try and rectify situation

Have you tried upping the fans manually in the CCC.

cards buggered and/or insufficient cooling.

up the fans speeds to see what happens as those temps are FAR too high

Ive installed aftermarket Neo Vortexx coolers, prob should have said before, so they run at 100% all times, thing is EVERY other game is fine, its just this one game that causes the card(s) to spaz out. L4D, COD4, COD5, farcry2, DoW2, CoH all perfectly fine, ETW = crash

I think those Neo Vortexx coolers are hit and miss with the 4870's, i remember a while ago (around the time they came out i think) that there was a fair few people saying they were no good for the 4870's, and a few people saying they were ok.
