Hi got my HIS 4870 from ocuk today:)on the disc is 8.6 drivers they seem sluggish on xp and vista 64 can anyone recommend drivers for this card please:)

I've had several issues with the hotfix drivers on Vistax64, the intro videos to Crysis run badly with artifacts and scarring the game runs fine...
Also they seem to heat up pretty fast in crossfireX mode, cut out on me once or twice due to heat after 2 hours play:/
Hopefully new drivers will appear soon which fix the dodgyness in Vistax64 and playing video...

at least yours work. The ones that come with my Sapphire don't seem to work at all. Runs through the install, reboots, then doesn't recognise the card. Where the hell are the hotfix drivers? Can't find any 4850/4870 drivers on ATi's site........

4870's when paired in Xfire seem to be dying all over the shop, major problem apparently.:(

Loadsa, I'm at my m8's house right now with guess what? Two 4870s!!. What the hell is this all about?.

We've just installed Vista 64bit and going to use the hotfix drivers now. Is this the best way to go??. DFI X48-T2R, E6850 @ 3.6Ghz, 4gb of DDR800.

One thing I was wondering is how on earth do you adjust the fan speed within the CCC (if indeed you can)

the plus side of this is that it's amazingly quiet. Thought I'd gone deaf when I took my 8800GT out and put the 4850 in.
The minus side is that I burnt my fingers when I touched the card trying to reposition a case fan.:p

Anyone got any info on 4870s in Crossfire dying?. Also for a quickie. My m8 has problems with Grid when using 4 or 8xAA. The menu is a slideshow and colours are missing and such. When it's off it runs like a dream?. Tried no patch and 1.1 patch and still can't get AA to work?. Vista 64x E6850 @ 3.6Ghz, 4Gb of DDR800 and X48 DFI-T2R.
